How to Manage and Maintain Your Server for Optimal EveryonePrint Use
Here are some valuable advice for a long-term healthy installation.
Installation Information:
After the installation has been done, tested, and validated with active license and maintenance, capture and keep by the side this important information; they will be needed in the future for any Server Name Change, Server Migration, Upgrade, or Maintenance renewal:
- Server Name
- Server ID
- Current License
- Maintenance Expiration Date
- License Key
Backup:
Perform an initial backup and have a proper schedule for this important routine.
To backup EveryonePrint settings, copy the following files or directories to a safe location:
<Program Files(x86)>\EveryonePrint\eop.xml
<Program Files(x86)>\EveryonePrint\printers.xml
<Program Files(x86)>\EveryonePrint\data (entire folder with subdirectories)
If you have changed Web port configuration or configured SSL certificates, backup this folder:
<Program Files(x86)>\EveryonePrint\etc
Make sure you take backup of anything else modified outside of usual EveryonePrint scope, such as edited language text files, branding logos or similar.
If you changed the 'admin' password, have it stored in a secure place, or check this procedure when you want to Reset "Admin" password to default.
Maintenance Renewal:
Make note of the Maintenance expiration date, and provision a maintenance renewal accordingly to ensure you are entitled to contact Y-soft support.
Database Clean-up:
If you're running a very active site with thousands of users printing many jobs, you may need to clean up the database print job history at intervals; See section "18.7 Selectively delete all users, print job history, emails, and printers" of the Install Guide.
