Seamless Cloud Connection with Port 443 | SAFEQ Cloud 3.48 Release

Written by Jim Wieser, Product Director | Aug 22, 2024 8:30:00 PM

With V. 3.48, we're simplifying the installation process for SAFEQ Cloud customers and partners. This release introduces reduced port requirements and a seamless connectivity feature, routing all communication through the standard Port 443 for HHTPS traffic.

🚀 Simplified onboarding

With the Port 443 connection, partners and customers drastically reduce the onboarding process from client-side components—such as the PC Client (Mac and Windows), Embedded App installed on printers, or the Secondary Gateway (Edge Device)—to utilize the standard internet port 443 for all outbound communication.

By leveraging port 443, SAFEQ Cloud ensures seamless connectivity for our customers while upholding stringent security standards.

🧑🏽‍💻 Enhanced productivity and business growth

"By eliminating the requirement to open specific network ports, we are not only simplifying the deployment process but also minimizing potential disruptions caused by security audits, allowing our customers and partners to focus on what matters most—enhancing productivity and driving business growth," says Tavs Dalaa, CTO at Y Soft.

In total, SAFEQ Cloud's Post 443 connection gives you:

  1. Simplified Installation: Customers will experience a streamlined installation process with no requirement to open specific ports, reducing complexity and eliminating the need for extensive technical expertise.

  2. Faster Deployment: The elimination of port configuration hurdles accelerates deployment timelines, allowing customers to swiftly integrate SAFEQ Cloud into their workflow and realize operational benefits sooner.

  3. Enhanced Security: By leveraging the standard internet port 443 for outbound communication, SAFEQ ensures robust security measures while maintaining seamless connectivity, safeguarding sensitive data, and mitigating potential risks.

  4. Reduced Disruptions: Customers benefit from minimized disruptions caused by security audits triggered during the installation or Proof of Concept (POC) phases, allowing them to maintain business continuity and productivity.

  5. Improved User Experience: With a smooth installation process and seamless connectivity, customers can enjoy an enhanced user experience, leveraging their cloud printing solution effortlessly and maximizing operational efficiency.

Please beware that Port 443 will see a phased rollout per data center.
We will announce any maintenance windows on the status page in advance.
